Christmas 2022 is coming! For many of us that means family and friends flying in from the North. As we all know, you can only host people in your home for so long, until you recommend they stay in a hotel in Sarasota. But while they’re staying with you, at least take them to Marina Jacks.
Marina Jacks is one of the best waterfront restaurants in Sarasota, Florida. Marina Jacks offers 3 dining options:
Dining Room at Marina Jacks. This elegant indoor dining space has views of the harbor and ocean. It is advised to make reservations. There are dishes that are gluten-free.
Blue Sunshine. Casual outdoor patio with cuisine from a pub menu. Be aware that the majority of this menu contains gluten. It should be noted that the patio on the far right is really connected to the Deep Six Lounge, and if you sit there, you can order from either the dining room menu or the blue sunlight patio menu. This entails that you can enjoy a tastier lunch, one without gluten, on the patio.
Deep Six Lounge and Piano Bar, position 3. This lounge’s indoor area has a somewhat retro vibe. When we were there, a pianist was performing music that appeared to be geared toward an audience that was at least 60 years old.
Take your out-of-town visitors to Marina Jack if you want them to move to Sarasota. The famous landmark in downtown Sarasota offers a variety of places to sit, including bars, indoor and outdoor dining areas, and dining rooms with their own menus. If you want to have a really good time, make a reservation at the Blue Sunshine Patio.
The Blue Sunshine Patio is an open air dining room with a sizable covered area. There’s lots of space for wheelchairs and strollers, and dog-friendly seating for those of us with furry children. The location is also one of the most picturesque in the city. The patio puts you directly on the water next to a fleet of nice yachts while overlooking Sarasota Bay.
Additionally, you’ll have a view of Bayfront Park, a great place for a stroll after dinner. If you’re lucky, you could even spot a few of the dolphins who often frequent the nearby seas in addition to the Dolphin Fountain. Yes, Marina Jack has remained a favorite for the past 50 years for a reason.
Here’s our experience at Marina Jacks in Sarasota, Florida.
On a cloudy afternoon, we went to Marina Jack for lunch and relished our meal while admiring the lake. We had a waterfront view and enjoyed it the entire lunch because we came as one of their outside dining sections was opening.
I got their Blackened Grouper Tacos, while my wife ordered their Spicy Shrimp Wrap. My wife praised her wrap for being delicious and moderately spicy. I anticipated a mild kick from the jalapeno vinaigrette slaw that was mentioned with the grouper tacos but did not get it.
If you’re looking for a good time, definitely check out Marina Jacks.
